WHAT DO I OFFER?

I offer personalised immersive online courses and live co-creating sessions from my home studio where I work every day and make things happen.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Those interested in learning more about my sustainable practice or working in creative areas like abstract art, textiles, food, photography and interior design. These personalised experience sessions will suit creatives from different parts of the world who are happy to explore these through online experiencing and learning.

This can be your first step to asking questions about the new material, connecting this to experiences from your field, and developing your textiles and dyeing skills through a one-on-one online video sessions.

HOW LONG?

It all depends on what you want to tackle. It can be a couple of hours showing basic new techniques or a few blocks of time on mutually suited days where we create a bigger art project - a succulent pot, a spread of wool felt fabric, some upcycled home linens, a handcrafted seasonal scarf. We can also jump into fusing wool and fibres, making natural dyes and pretreating fabrics. You name it!

PREPARATION?

I will share the steps of preparation needed with you including setting up your workspace in advance, advise on ordering supplies ensuring the basic technical tools required for our session to be a success. Following the prep stage and a Zoom connection test we meet for your online 1:1 experience video session or a demo where I share my approach to things with you.

ON THE DAY?

Here’s a flow for a 1:1 online private session to help you know what to expect. I start with an overview and demonstrate the materials we’ll be using. We then double check together what each of us has chosen to create and discuss the properties of the material. At any point feel free to ask questions, and we’ll experiment and begin to explore colours and fibres. I’ll demonstrate how to make your first sample. We will then design a test sample and dip our hands into the initial steps of the process.  After we select the best elements for the project, we will create together your unique bespoke piece from scratch going through some exciting process stages. Your piece is wet but has already taken shape. When it dries, enjoy wearing or display your one-of-a-kind creation! After the session I will send you some helpful links and follow-up ideas on the themes we discussed.
